Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH)

What exactly is REACH?

REACH, also known as Directive EC/1907-2006, is a European Union (EU) standard that refers to all of the chemicals used in making a product throughout the supply chain. The regulation undertakes the identification and definition of chemicals of concern, and preparation of said chemicals, that are contained in products for use in the European Union. It details registration obligations of manufactures and suppliers to assure compliance.
